The purpose of this study was to compare the mathematical problem posing and problem solving of 133 seventh grade students and 117 eighth grade student in Turkey. The study consisted of problem posing question according to figural pattern and problem solving question with regard to making sense which is division-with-remainder (DWR). The questions were selected CAI’s study. Data were analyzed both of qualitative (content analysis) and quantitative (independent T test). This study was non-experimental comparative study in nature. As a result, Turkish students come behind of in international arena.

This present study aimed to determine the relationship between parenting styles, religious attitudes and resiliency in the students. The statistical population included 418 secondary period public high school students in 2012 and 2013. According to Morgan Table, 200 students (100 girls and 100 boys) were selected using random-cluster sampling method. Connor and Davidson Scale (CD-RISC) was used to collect data on resiliency. Muslim Religious Attitudes Scale developed by Seraj Zade based on Gluck and Setark Model was used to collect data on religious attitude. Baumrind Parenting Style Questionnaire was used to collect data on parenting style variable. This is a correlational study. The collected data was analyzed using stepwise regression method. The results demonstrated that there is a positive and significant relationship between religious attitudes and resiliency in students (r = 0.46). In addition, it was found out that authoritative parenting style has a significant and positive relationship with resiliency among, authoritative, permissive and authoritarian parenting styles (Beta = 0.41).

Sociobiology is the latest theory of evolution. Edwad. O. Wilson, an American entomologist advocates this theory in 1975. The basic principle of this theory is that behavior is under hereditary control. It proposes that new species arise due to changes of social behavior; as behavior changes the gene frequency of an organism. But diverse literatures shows that social behavior is learned and experienced, not inherited. Consequently, evolution of new species through modifications of behavior is not possible. Moreover, only social insects (ants, bees, wasps and termites) and few mammals are social. Hence, this theory is applicable for these few animals. Humans are actually social, nevertheless most biologists and sociologists disagree to apply the idea of Sociobiology to human; as if the human social behavior is inherited then struggle, to desirable social change of the people become needless. Hence, ‘Sociobiology Study Group of Science for the People’ rejects Sociobiology. Moreover, Sociobiology is based on natural selection but it is opposite to natural selection. In addition, Sociobiology includes different subjects haphazardly but specialists of those subjects opposed strongly Sociobiology. It is claim that Sociobiology is based on Neo-Darwinism but any biologist included it an agent of Neo-Darwinism. Moreover, Neo-Darwinism is based on mutations, which is serious deleterious. There is no known example that a reproductive isolated organism arises through natural mutation or induced mutation. Although breeders have developed some new plants varieties through induced mutations, yet it backs to wild type over time. In addition, there is only journal of Sociobiology. But the title of the journal, it contents and the editorial announcements proved that Sociobiology is not a theory of evolution but a branch of entomology, which deals with social insects. E.O. Wilson is also an entomologist.

The aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of Jig Saw teaching method and mastery learning teaching method on the academic achievement of students. The research population includes all sixth grade students of Bandar Abbas in academic year of 2013-2014 (2817 patients). Sample volume is 80 subjects that are selected through multi-stage random sampling from schools students. The study has been conducted through quasi-experimental method in two groups of experimental and control. Jig Saw teaching method and mastery learning teaching method have been applied for a given period in the experimental group. Achievement test at two pre-test and post-test groups has been used to collect data. Statistical methods of data covariance analysis and independent t-test have been used to analyze data. The results of the dat analysis showe that: Jig Saw teaching methods and mastery learning teaching method have a significant effect on the academic achievement of sixth-grade students of Bandar Abbas.

The present study aims to identify and explain the factors associated with spousal abuse. The study population consists of women clients who are abused by their spouses referred to the coroner of Bandar Abbas in 2011. Among the population, 148 subjects are selected by random sampling method. Required information is collected through a researcher made questionnaire. Data obtained from the questionnaire implementation is analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical methods. The results showed that less educated men are more wife abuser and spousal abuse of men who have a higher addiction is more. Unemployed men are more wife abuser than employed men are. Illicit drug use by men is related to their spousal abuse. The destructive behaviors in men, such as watching violent movies, night sleepless, roaming the streets and gadding around have been associated with their wife abuse.

This study has been conducted to compare controlling behaviors, intimacy and marital adjustment of Iranian couples living in Dubai and Bandar Abbas. The research method is causative - comparative. The study population is consisted of all couples resident in Dubai and Bandar Abbas. The statistical sample of the research includes 200 subjects (50 couples resident in Dubai and, 50 couples living in Bandar Abbas). Data collection tools include DAS Marital Adjustment Questionnaire, Marital Intimacy Questionnaire of Asudeh and Teimuri, as well as Controlling Behaviors Questionnaire of Graham - Kevan and Archer. The research data analysis has been performed by two-way ANOVA test and multivariate regression test. Results show that there is a significant difference between controlling behaviors of couples living in Bandar Abbas and Dubai. Research findings also indicate that there is a significant difference between marital intimacy and marital adjustment among couples living in Bandar Abbas and Dubai. Finally, these findings suggest that controlling behaviors of the couples have predictive power of marital adjustment and intimacy.
